Kathy Mack is a Croatian-born, Australian artist living and working in Brisbane. Her practice is centered on the connection between materiality and affect. She explores material’s potential for evocation with an interest in how society and culture can shape personal narrative. Her work responds to ideas of memory, loss and displacement, such as when one is alienated from one’s surroundings, blurring boundaries between familiarity and strangeness. In 2022 she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours First Class), from the Queensland College of Art.
